Microsoft Store Offers One-Year Free Zune Music Pass Until Valentine's Day

Microsoft seems intent in crossing over Apple store domains with the entrance of its self-branded US stores since last year.

The company still has a few existing stores and needs more effort to rival Apple’s numbers, but it plans to build a 75-store network first before further expansion.

However, Microsoft currently lacks the reach that rivals have regardless of its better intentions.

The company has 16 stores and now starts to provide an exclusive promotional offer to work over consumer engagement in Windows Phone devices, Microsoft Zune and the Microsoft Store itself.

Visitors who walk through any Microsoft Store door will see a poster that says the company is offering a one-year free subscription to Zune Music Pass, as long as they purchase a Windows Phone inside the store.

The promo offer will save almost $120 for US subscribers who usually pay $9.99 for the service on a monthly basis.

Microsoft’s one-year free unlimited access to the Zune marketplace will last until February 14, Valentine’s Day.
