Band of Skulls are an alternative rock band that formed in 2008 in Southampton, England. The band consists of Russel Marsden (guitar, vocals), Emma Richardson (bass, vocals), and Matt Hayward (drums), who formed a band after they all met in college. Initially, they played at night clubs in the greater London area and recorded some demos under the name of Fleeing New York before changing their name to Band of Skulls in November 2008.

According to her Facebook page, LaVere "routinely gets antsy" [impatient, or restless] after she's been off the road awhile.

The album’s title Carencro pays tribute to the musician’s hometown of Carencro, Louisiana. His style is best described as "Bayou Soul," a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots. Marc is best known for the songs "Where You Are" and "Home.

There are at least two artists using the name Hinder: 1) Hinder is a post-grunge band that was formed in Oklahoma City more than four years ago, when guitarist Joe Garvey and drummer Cody Hanson discovered Austin Winkler singing for a cover band at a college dorm party. "I heard him and was blown away," says Cody. "He has the kind of charisma very few people have and that unique voice. You can’t really compare him to anybody."

Colvin’s formative years were spent in the town of Carbondale, Illinois, where she attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She learned to play guitar at the age of 10. Her first public concert was at age 15 at the University of Illinois campus. Colvin cites Joni Mitchell as a primary influence on her music, and her initial performances closely mirrored Mitchell’s inflections and guitar tunings.

Scaggs continues to write, record music and tour. After learning guitar at the age of 12, Scaggs met Steve Miller at St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas. In 1959, he became the vocalist for Miller’s band The Marksmen.
